HIKING ALONG EUROPEAN LONG DISTANCE FOOTPATHS

1. We type the web site: http://www.secondlife.com in field of browser for example Google itd. that we come on web site which allow us the enter in SL. To enlarge pictures, click on them.



2. Web site Second Life (SL) will be opened if we choose the button "join" in the top right corner.


3. Next website will be opened after the click: Second Life Registration, Basic Details. Here we will define the first and second name which we have in SL. We must check the first name available. On the other hand the second name is defined by the program. If the first name is not available, you must choose another first name.


4. We must also fill the second part of the formular with our data.


5. In the next step we choose our image for virtual world (avatar). You can choose the avatar that you like. After arrival in SL you can change it. You can get a new face, another clothes but the body stays for ever.


6. The payment with credit card is shown. If we pay approximately 10$ per month, we get 1.240 lindens dollars and some other rights in SL. We can buy with these money in SL. We can skip this step and we go forward without money .



7. We get a window with welcome. We will also get an e-mail on our address where we must confirm a link to activate our account. We will get another enrolled data.


8. If we click on link: http://secondlife.com/community/downloads.php, we can load the latest version of program SL. We must load this program if we want to enter in SL.

When we load the program, it is possible that it isn't open because we must update our video card. How do we do it?
We must check the computer which has video cards on it. You can click for video guide here. When we get this information, we search for its newest drivers. When we find them, we load them on our computer. You can click for video guide here. The applicaton will start.

9. We must click the icon of program SL to start the program SL. We type our first and second name and our password. We must not forget these data. On the next site we must confirm some conditions.


10. We click Connect. We enter on the Orientation Island, from which we can go to Help Island that we can travel round SL.


11. Near the arrival zone we must search for the pano with a text. It can be seen on the pictur below. You can walk with the help of arrows on your keyboard. You can try to walk as a virtual person. You must go to this pano. You click on pano that you see a window where it will stand Teleport. You click on it to see a window where it teleport will stand. You must click on this tab to go to Help Island.


12. You arrive on Help Island where you must choose the button Mini-map which is below your window that you plug in the navigation map. It allows the travel around SL.


13. You can see the travel map. You must click on it to open the window with a field Search where you type Del Mar and below coordinates 96, 140,29 if you want to go to the place of meeting European footpaths.



14. After clicking on button Teleport you will arrive at the place of meeting.
